Zac Purton returns from a two-meeting suspension and the horse he was given time on, Grand Elite, can propel him to Jockey Challenge success.

Grand Elite is racing in good from, including a game runner-up effort last start over the course and distance, and finally gets a decent draw (four) after starting from wide gates at his last two starts.

Purton ($2.60 last night) also rides fellow Caspar Fownes-trained favourite Vigor Delight, and the Australian jockey's seven-ride book can help him overhaul Douglas Whyte (eight rides), who was even money in early betting.
