Jeweller's fun day shows how to make mum feel special
While some people may still be trying to figure out how to celebrate with their mums on Sunday, Danish jeweller Pandora helped out its staff and VIPs by organising a concert entitled 'Show Your Love'.
Guests were invited to take their mothers to the concert, held at Kitec in Kowloon Bay on Tuesday. Several booths were set up, where guests could get hand massages or have their likeness sketched by two prolific - judging from the length of the queue - illustrators.
Two instant-photo booths were also available to capture the moment, although the girly, carnival-like set-up with pink and white balloons, buckets of pink carnations and a counter full of candies also offered photo opportunities.
After the fun and pampering, it was time for a line-up of five Canto-pop singers. The show started late, with some guests getting irritated listening to a looped tape of people sharing memorable moments with their mothers.
But the show just got better and better, as Gloria Tang Zhi-kei (better known as G.E.M.), Jonathan Wong Chi-hin, Jun Kung and his band, Fiona Sit Hoi-kei and Hanjin Tan rocked the stage. Tan managed to get everybody standing up and singing along. Then laughter broke out when he was given the Pandora bracelet he expressed a desire to own, and promised to give it to his mother - not his wife.
