More than 300 guests attended this year's Hong Kong Ballet Ball at the Lyric Theatre of the Academy for Performing Arts, helping to raise more than HK$5.5 million for the ballet.

For Saturday's event, supported by fashion house Dior, the venue was transformed to resemble an elegant Parisiantown house, featuring rose centrepieces and French-style tableware. Guests included veteran ballerinas Tan Yuanyuan and Jin Yao, who wore Dior haute couture garments.

Hong Kong Ballet dancers performed scenes from Cinderella and George Balanchine's Theme and Variations, while items including a Dior python handbag, luxury watch and fine jewellery, and a collection of Dom Perignon champagne, were auctioned to raise funds.
