Bag and tag
As it's Le French May, a touch of Gallic charm may be in order and there's nothing more French than Pierre Hardy. The canvas and leather tote bag (above right; HK$8,100) with its 3D geometric cube print is bold and futuristic, but if that's a bit too serious there's the neoprene and leather sporty backpack (below right; HK$16,250), which comes in a variety of colours. Pierre Hardy is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 2288.
A slice of Americana via Italy, these Hogan Cruiser aviators (HK$3,950 each) are just the ticket for Top Gunners everywhere. Leather patches on the arms lend the aviators, which come with gold or silver frames, an air of authenticity. Hogan is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 0181.
The Z factor
Z Zegna's spring-summer show was the last for creative director Alessandro Sartori before he moved over to Berluti. Sartori's farewell collection was suffused with this season's colours of mustard and blue as seen with the mustard cotton trousers (HK$4,700), blue lace-up leather shoes (HK$5,700) and patterned blue and mustard cotton shirt (HK$2,600), worn with a mustard, blue and white jacket (all above left; inquiries: 3417 3088). White is also prominent in the collection: the cotton jacket with leather trim (HK$11,900) and cotton trouser (HK$4,700) are nicely offset with leather shoes (all above; HK$5,700). Z Zegna is at 1 Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 3417 3088.
Lanvin's trainer offerings are getting better with every season and the pick of the bunch this time around include the street-style, textured-leather and suede hi-tops (left; HK$6,400) and, for the more adventurous, the striking yellow leather boating shoe (above; HK$5,100). Lanvin is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2234 7686.
