The Parisian designer-du-jour Isabel Marant celebrated the opening of her third stand-alone boutique last Saturday night with local fans at Central's Zuma restaurant in Landmark.
Canto-pop star Kelly Chen Wai-lam, an avid Marant fan, made her first public appearance since giving birth to her second son in March to meet the designer.
The venue was packed with VIP customers, fashion bloggers and socialites including Hilary Tsui Ho-ying and Florinda Ho Chiu-wan. I.T boss Sham Kar-wai also came to support and stayed till the early hours.
The go-to label for pared-down Parisian cool was a well-kept secret for fashion lovers in the know. But it has grown into a sensation among celebrities, style icons and fashion editors in the past two years.
The uber-chic designer was down to earth, chatting with fans at the crowded party and posing for photos.
Marant said she loved the vibe of the city when we caught up with her on her way out of the restaurant for a cigarette break.
