The passing of the Olympic torch kicked off last Sunday at Land's End, the westernmost tip of England.

The torch is on a 70-day global journey before it lands at London's Olympic Stadium on July 27.

The torch will not pass through Hong Kong, but local people can still feel the Olympic spirit. The Olympic torch collection of Chou Jian Hiong will be on display at Landmark North in Sheung Shui until July 2.

Chou is one of the mainland's most famous sports items collectors. He began collecting them as a primary school student 50 years ago.

The display includes torches from the 1936 Berlin Olympics to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Chou has amassed more than 50,000 sports items over the years.
