The past few months have seen a string of fresh faces making their way to the prestigious shop spaces on Queen's Road Central. The latest one to join the competition is Spanish fashion house Massimo Dutti - which shares the same mother company, Inditex Group, as mass fashion brand Zara - which has taken up two floors of over 6,000 square feet.

At the flagship store's opening cocktail party last Friday, guests were entertained by a presentation of the brand's spring-summer collection featuring chiffon tops and sheer maxi dresses for the ladies, with linen shirts and cropped chinos for the lads.

Guests including models Jacqueline Ch'ng, Irene Wang Yuen-yuen and Jocelyn Luko cancelled on their Friday night dates and turned out to party. The girls were given pretty bouquets on their way out.

Casualwear brand COS, which belongs to the same group as H&M, will open its doors just a few steps away from Dutti next month, adding to the competition.
