A testimonial match will take place at Mong Kok Stadium on Sunday for veteran Cristiano Cordeiro, who finished his 14-year career in Hong Kong this season, steering Sunray Cave Sun Hei to the Senior Shield title in the process. The Brazilian centre-half, who joined South China in 1998 at the age of 24, won the Player of the Year award in 2001 and 2005. The testimonial match will feature past and present teammates, such as Au Wai-lun, Yau Kin-wai, Lee Kin-wo, Leslie Santos, Chan Fat-chi and Tam Siu-wai. Tickets cost HK$30. Meanwhile, Sun Hei coach Ricardo Rambo said he would part ways with the club after failing to come to terms on a new deal. 'Sun Hei's offer is just not good enough,' he said. 'But I want to come back to Hong Kong next season if there is a better offer.'
