Miriam Yeung and Real Ting celebrate birth of their son, dubbed RMB for now
Congratulations to Miriam Yeung Chin-wah and Real Ting Chi-ko on the arrival of their first baby. The singer-actress gave birth to a 3.45kg boy on Tuesday.
The couple, who got married in Las Vegas in 2009, are referring to the baby as RMB - short for Real-Miriam-Baby and renminbi - until they can decide on a name.
Public relations executive Ting broke the news on his Sina Weibo account on Tuesday, saying: 'A big thank you to my wife, RMB is finally here.' Later, the excited father posted a photo of mainland banknotes on Instagram to announce the birth.
The baby was born in Adventist Hospital on Stubbs Road, where Ting accompanied Yeung all the way to the delivery room. The couple also released a statement, in which Ting said his first impression of his son was that he was handsome.
'Of course, because he's my son,' he said. 'Actually, the baby looks like both of us and the good looks come from Miriam as well.'
Yeung thanked her friends and fans for their blessings. 'I want to tell the world I'm a mum now,' she said.
