Addict bashes, pushes two friends out window

Three drug users who booked into a Sham Shui Po guesthouse yesterday to take heroin and tranquillisers ended up in a brawl two hours later. Police said a 41-year-old man beat his two friends with a chair and pushed them out of their first-floor window. The man was arrested, while a 38-year-old severely injured woman was in Princess Margaret Hospital's intensive care unit and a man, 44, was in Caritas Medical Centre with a broken leg.

Carrie Lam sticks by plan to demolish West Wing

The government would go ahead with its plan to demolish the West Wing of its old offices in Central, Secretary for Development Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said, a week before the Antiquities Advisory Board's expert panel is due to table its report on the building's architectural and heritage merit.

Two more Bowen Road dogs believed poisoned

Two stray dogs whose bodies were found at separate sites along Bowen Road yesterday and on Monday are suspected to be the latest victims of a new poisoning attack. Poison baits were found in eight locations in the Black's Link area on Saturday.
