Someone in Hong Kong two weeks from now will have the chance to secure a rare service to champion Australian galloper So You Think when he retires to Coolmore Stud in the coming months.

The dual Cox Plate winner has been pencilled in by Aidan O'Brien for two more starts - including a meeting with Frankel in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot - before taking up his new career and a service to So You Think will be the lead auction item at the Prix de Hong Kong charity ball at the Grand Hyatt on June 22.

The chic, French racing-themed ball organised by two well-known racing figures, businessmen David Boehm and Bruce Stinson, will see the launch of an outreach centre - called The Hub - for disadvantaged and abused children.

'This is really a coup for us and for a worthy cause. Bart Cummings called So You Think one of the best, if not the best horse he ever trained and he has matched it successfully with the best in Europe since his move to O'Brien,' said Stinson. 'There is every reason to think he will be a great stallion for Coolmore and three days before the Prix de Hong Kong ball, he goes up against the horse that some are calling the greatest of all, Frankel.

'If So You Think gives him a serious race, the interest in him will surge but the people from Coolmore tell me his past record has ensured he is almost booked out for his first season anyway,' Stinson said.

'Many of the owners in Hong Kong racing are also breeders, so I'm sure this is going to be a popular opportunity to get a booking to So You Think that they won't have a chance to get any other way.'

Stinson can be contacted through the Prix de Hong Kong website or the Rotary Club of Kowloon North.

Leading local rider Howard Cheng Yue-tin's season is over after his appeal against a 13-day suspension was dismissed yesterday. Cheng was penalised on May 23 for not taking all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best finish on My Name Is Bond at Sha Tin on May 16. The suspension concludes on July 16, the day after the final meeting.
