Six mixologists, including Diageo Reserve World Class Bartender of the Year 2011, Manabu Ohtake, will be mixing drinks at the MO Bar at The Landmark Mandarin in Central until Saturday. There is also a cocktail pairing dinner from tonight until Saturday, with five courses and six cocktails each night for a single table of 12 guests for HK$15,000 plus 10 per cent. The Press Room in Central has a dinner on Monday featuring the wines of Provence. The five-course meal is HK$780 plus 10 per cent and includes grilled mullet fillet Provencale with the Chateau Roubine Inspire Rose Cotes de Provences 2008; and roast cod with raito sauce with the Chateau de Pibarnon Bandol 2005. Hugo Desnoyer, a butcher who supplies Michelin-star outlets in France, is bringing his meats to Petrus at the Island Shangri-La from June 21-23. Chef Frederic Chabbert will cook the meats for three course (HK$980 plus 10 per cent), five-course (HK$1,280) or seven-course (HK$1,480, or HK$2,180 with wine) dinner menus. Zeffirino Ristorante at the Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay is featuring Ligurian cuisine in a five-course set dinner until the end of the month.
