Pamper your locks this summer with a range of hair treatments.

Aveda's Invati Exfoliating Shampoo (HK$290/200ml) and Invati Thickening Conditioner (HK$290/200ml) are designed for thin or thinning hair. Use a drop the size of a HK$2 coin and massage into scalp with fingertips. The shampoo has a runny consistency and doesn't foam like most shampoos, but the scalp feels invigorated and clean. Use the conditioner as necessary, leaving in for a few minutes before rinsing out. Hair feels light and smells great. Blow dry to give extra body. Available at Aveda shops and counters.

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream (HK$380/118ml) is a leave-in cream made with olive-oil extract. Rub a pea-sized amount between the palms and fingers before working through hair. If hair is oily, avoid roots and use on ends only. It can be used on damp or dry hair. Style as usual. Hair feels silky and looks shiny and healthy. Available at Joyce Beauty.

Kiehl's Color-Protect Shine Infusing Hair Oil Treatment (HK$250/118ml) is made with sunflower seed oil and apricot kernel oil. Spray damp or dry hair four to six times in the morning. If hair is oily or thin, spray once over scalp and twice over ends of hair. The oil is light and hair feels silky after use. If too much is used, hair feels greasy and lank. The oil has an SPF10 rating to protect the scalp and stops hair from tangling while swimming. Stash it in your beach bag this summer. Available at Kiehl's counters.

Schwarzkopf's Intense Repair Mask (HK$196/200ml) is a leave-in conditioning treatment. Rub a tablespoon-sized dollop into damp hair and leave in for about five minutes. Comb through from roots to tips, working in with fingers to make sure all hair is coated. Leave it in overnight, and wash out the next morning. Hair feels well conditioned but quite heavy. If you have fine hair you may need to shampoo twice. Available at Watsons and Mannings stores.
