If you're a chess champ, here's your chance to shine on the big stage.

The Hong Kong Junior Chess Competition will be held on July 1 and 2 at Fashion World, Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa, in Hung Hom.

The competition encourages friendly rivalry among participants in the same age groups: kindergarten division, primary division and a division for secondary and university students.

Participants can compete in the Weiqi, Chinese chess and chess categories.

The winner will receive a HK$500 cash prize and the title 'The King of Junior Chess'.
