This year's Ivy Ball drew a record number of alumni from American Ivy League colleges and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
On Saturday, more than 800 people at the 24th Ivy Ball - the largest gathering of Ivy League graduates in Asia - had a Brazilian 'Carnival at Copacabana' theme party at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Scantily clad samba dancers and traditional capoeira performers provided entertainment.
'The ball is an opportunity to let loose and indulge in a little nostalgia for our student days on the east coast,' said Debra Mao, co-chairwoman of the ball.
