Michael Grant is the author of the best-selling Gone series. He ratchets up his game to an even higher level of thrills with BZRK.

Grant's new science-fiction adventure is for older teens and is set sometime in the future.

Grant is a master at getting teens to keep turning the pages. His storytelling style and plotting go straight to the hearts of young readers who lap up modern fiction.

In BZRK, we live in a world where nanotechnology is conquering whole new areas. Nanobots can enter the human body through the eyes, mouth, nose and ears - and then work or investigate what's going on. Much of the plot takes place inside the body.

In the 1966 Hollywood movie Fantastic Voyage, a group of scientists are shrunk and injected into a human body. Grant has taken this idea and run out of the field with it.

In essence, BZRK is a good versus evil story and we have well-defined good guys and bad guys. In the villains' corner is the Armstrong Corporation, headed by Charles and Benjamin Armstrong. They are a pair of conjoined twins who want to rule the world. They plan to infiltrate and rewire world leaders.

Sadie McClure is a teen who is recruited by BZRK, a secret organisation dedicated to fighting the evil face of nanotechnology.

A great battle ensues - both inside and outside human bodies.
