Movie extra guilty of anal sex with boy, 14

A 36-year-old movie extra admitted yesterday to having had anal sex with a 14-year-old boy. Chow Chun-fai, 36, pleaded guilty in the Court of First Instance to two counts of indecent assault, three counts of homosexual buggery and one of possession of child pornography. The court heard Chow befriended the boy on a gay website and they later entered a sexual relationship. The crime came to light when the boy's mother talked to him about his deteriorating performance at school. The parents reported the matter to police. Chow was remanded in custody pending sentencing on July 16. A judge ordered a psychological report on Chow to assess his likelihood of reoffending and whether he was a paedophile.

Police arrest 22-year-old man for drug-driving

Police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of drug-driving after intercepting his car in Yuen Long yesterday. Officers ordered the driver to pull over shortly after 3.30am when they saw the car being driven erratically in Yuen Long On Lok Road. The man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after he failed a five-part impairment test. He was released on bail.

30 held for gambling after raid on Tsuen Wan flat

Thirty people were arrested for illegal gambling in a raid on a flat being used as a gambling den in Yi Pei Square, Tsuen Wan, at about 1am yesterday. Police also seized HK$22,000 in cash and betting chips and six electronic mahjong tables. The 13 men and 17 women, aged from 35 to 60, were being held for questioning.
