Cantonese master chef Qui Wei Guo from the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou will make dim sum lunch dishes from Monday to July 15 at Above & Beyond at the Hotel Icon in Tsim Sha Tsui. Dishes include baked chicken liver pastry, steamed duck's web with abalone, steamed pork belly with pomelo skin, and deep-fried bananas stuffed with red bean paste. Bookings: 34001318

Michelin one-star chef Igor Macchia, of Ristorante la Credenza near Turin, Italy, will be at Nicholini's at the Conrad in Admiralty on July 12-16. (His menu runs until July 21.) Risotto with red peppers, anchovies and parsley sauce; and braised beef cheek with tonka beans, green apple and vegetables (below) are available ? la carte and at a wine-pairing dinner during the promotion. Cafe 8 Degrees at the Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees in To Kwa Wan is featuring Asian dishes on its dinner buffet. The buffet selection includes stir-fried king crab leg with chilli; grilled Vietnamese king prawns with garlic butter; and wagyu beef sashimi. The buffet is HK$368 plus 10 per cent (HK$208 for children and senior citizens) from Monday to Thursday, and HK$398 (HK$238) from Friday to Sunday. Bookings: 2126 1960

The Cafe at the Hyatt Regency in Sha Tin is featuring seafood on its lunch and dinner buffets until July 13. Guests can taste dishes of chilled seafood on ice (above right); wok-fried crab with chilli and garlic; steamed scallops with garlic and glass noodles; and Mediterranean seafood skewers. The lunch buffet is HK$258 plus 10 per cent (HK$129 for children) Monday to Friday and HK$328 (HK$164 for children) on the weekends and public holidays.
