It's been almost eight years since her last solo concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum, but Canto-pop diva Sally Yeh Chen-ven is ready to make a comeback this September.

Yeh will perform her Intimately Yours concerts at the prestigious Hung Hom venue from September 22-24.

The 50-year-old singer has been busy preparing over the past few months. Media Asia Entertainment Group, which is organising the concerts, said Yeh had been keeping fit with regular badminton practice as well as Latin dancing.

For the latter, Yeh has booked two Latin dancers from Russia to help hone her skills.

She's also been artistic, thinking up the concept for the promotional concert posters. To echo the theme Intimately Yours, Yeh collaborated with long-time friend and veteran make-up artist Zing, and directed a photo shoot on a bed.

Looking comfortable and relaxed in the final outcome, Yeh said the process wasn't as easy as it seemed.

'I can't lay my head too close to the pillow or else it won't look good [in pictures]. My neck and back hurt after the shoot,' she said.

'I came up with the concept because I haven't seen my fans on stage for a long time. I hope the intimate concept can bring out a homey and warm feeling. I hope my fans can feel comfortable at the concert, as if they were catching up with an old friend.'
