London partner Bell-Jones moves to the Hong Kong office to lead its technology, media and telecoms (TMT) sector in Asia. Bell-Jones will focus on acquisition opportunities and support the international expansion of Permira funds' TMT portfolio. Hidehiro Nakayama, representative director and president, Northern Trust Global Investments Japan K.K.
Nakayama will lead the growth of the asset management business in Japan, with responsibility for sales, product development, client service and operational teams. '[Nakayama] brings experience in the Japanese market combined with a deep understanding of our business and what clients want,' says Wayne Bowers, CEO, asset management, for the Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.
Eleanor Chan, HR and administration manager, QI Group
Chan's appointment reaffirms the group's recognition of the importance of quality professionals in delivering top-notch services to customers. Richard Zinkiewicz, director of international operations, QI Group, says: 'With [Chan] joining our team in Hong Kong, we continue to make significant inroads towards achieving our goals of professionalism and quality management in both the administration and human resource functions.' Reporting directly to Zinkiewicz, Chan will lead the human resources (HR) and administration team and be responsible for driving those strategies. She has worked for a number of multinational corporations, including Protiviti in Hong Kong, and has also held HR roles at Dimexon Eurostar and at the Therm-O-Disc division of Emerson Group.
Alan Tsoi, regional managing director - tax and legal, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
Tsoi will oversee tax and legal practices spanning 15 countries. He has over 22 years' experience in developing the business and advising clients in the US and Asia-Pacific. Tsoi was voted 'Top Tax Advisor in China' by the International Tax Review four times and invited by the Ministry of Finance to be foreign tax advisor for tax reform. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting and a master's in taxation.
