The goods

Up, up and away

Things are looking up at the House of Armani. Sales are up, profit is up and with new stores opening practically every week it's no surprise old Giorgio is looking chipper these days. Leather goods are performing particularly well and the new additions are likely to prove just as popular, including the lovely classic grey leather briefcase (above; HK$15,000) and the deep-blue leather satchel (right; HK$11,000). Giorgio Armani is in Chater House, Central, tel: 2532 7700.

Earn your stripes

Missoni, the king of colour, is at it again with its spring-summer offerings for men. The colourful, striped cardigan (above; HK$10,750) would make Joseph envious, and if that isn't loud enough, there's the knitted polo shirt (above right; HK$7,850). Missoni is available at Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central, tel: 3695 3389.

Man on the move

Kim Jones' debut menswear collection for Louis Vuitton is effortlessly cool and casual. The designer has taken inspiration from the label's travel heritage and mixed it with his refined tailoring to create great looks such as the construction classic blazer (HK$22,800), slim-fit shirt (HK$6,850), chino trousers (HK$6,950) and Heir Richelieu shoes (HK$8,700), completing the look with the wonderful Nomade Cabas East/West leather bag (all above left; HK$34,000). For a more casual and summery ensemble, there's the constructed classic jacket (HK$26,100), pleated evening trousers (HK$10,600) and collarless evening shirt (HK$7,250) all finished off with the cool Serengeti sandal (HK$7,650). Louis Vuitton is in The Landmark, tel: 8100 1182.

Toms cruising

It feels like ages ago that Toms made espadrilles fashionable, but the socially conscious label is still bringing out funky new spins on an old idea. Cast your eye over the Freetown, in black perforated canvas (above; HK$450) and the vintage-feel Bastien lace-up (left; HK$490). Toms is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388.
