A variety show at Hong Kong Stadium had an array of performers as well as a People's Liberation Army parade. A flag-raising ceremony was held at the Golden Bauhinia Square. Meanwhile protesters voiced social and political concerns during the annual march. Hong Kong lawmaker 'Long Hair' Leung Kwok-hung burned a letter he was unable to deliver to President Hu Jintao as he stood in front of a mock coffin. Hu waved farewell to the city at the airport.
