Fly the flag

In celebration of the Olympics in London, Bally has created a collection to reflect the Swiss brand's support of international artistic and sporting events. The new West H sneaker collection pays homage to 12 of the competing countries. Each sneaker features a national flag screen printed on the side with a vintage effect that includes Britain, Switzerland, USA, Germany and Italy. As part of the Olympic-themed collection, there is also a feminine high-top sneaker, Athena, and a matching tote. Sneakers printed with the Chinese, American, British and South African flag are available in Hong Kong priced at HK$2,990.

Happy together

Karl Lagerfeld and Shu Uemura are sealing their more than 20-year relationship with a collaboration for the Holiday Collection 2012. Combining Lagerfelds's skills as a master of fashion design and Uemura's vision of elevating beauty through make-up, the new make-up collection offers an innovative palette of colours. For two decades Lagerfeld has been using Shu Uemura eyeshadows to illustrate his fashion sketches. Now the fashion and beauty worlds have merged to create a new range with the colour selection and packaging chosen and designed by Lagerfeld. The collection will be available in Hong Kong at the end of October.

In synch

Twirling legs, nose clips and dazzling smiles are all the rage this summer as The Berkeley, London's stylish hotel in Knightsbridge, teams up with Aquabatix, the award-winning synchronised swimming team. Ahead of the Olympic Games, Aquabatix will host a series of 90-minute master classes this month in the hotel's open-air pool available to hotel guests and visitors. The Aquabatix team will first showcase one of their award-winning routines, after which attendees will enter the water to learn some of the key movements. By the end of the class, the group will be able to perform a complete routine. 'Our team is proud to show off their skills in what must be London's most glamorous pool,' says Katie Fried, director of Aquabatix. aquabatix.com
