Olympic fever races into town ... and it's Team GB in the lead

It's a big year for Britain, and with the London Olympics opening in less than two weeks Team GB is also the talk of the town in Hong Kong.

Local marketing teams have been quick to jump on the opportunity the Games presents.

Times Square is hosting a series of events for a British festival that will run until August 26.

The piazza has been transformed into 'Britain Street', featuring exhibitions, a bookshop and live performances. A full-size replica double-decker London bus has also been parked in the piazza.

As well as shopping privileges, Union flag tote bags and special pins are available for redemption.

Sheung Wan's Shun Tak Centre will open a British-themed display next Tuesday, featuring teddy bear figurines dressed as Queen Elizabeth I , Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge in wedding regalia and Diana, Princess of Wales.

Former radio host and artist Cheuk Wan-chi shared her experience of travelling in England at the preview last week, while local stylist Chen Dao turned up in a kilt.

Causeway Bay's WTC More has teamed up with stylist Kevin Ma Tin-yao, who is curating a special collection of British-themed items, from an Alexander McQueen Union flag clutch to Vivienne Westwood scarves and Boy London caps that will go on sale at a pop-up store in the mall from July 28.
