Leo Ku brings the perfect ice-breaker at launch of Giordano's O!Cool! line
Canto-pop star Leo Ku Kui-kei wants us to look cool in the hot summer by wearing his latest designs for local casual wear brand Giordano. The new collection features a cartoon penguin, in a nod to Ocean Park's new Polar Adventure attraction.
Ku brought child model Catelyn Lee along on Tuesday to help him promote the O!Cool! collection at Giordano's flagship store in Mong Kok.
Although Catelyn - the six-year-old niece of Ku's long-time assistant and rumoured girlfriend Lorraine Chan - has worked with Ku before in his music videos, she looked shy on the stage in front of all the guests.
Ku later joked on his weibo page: 'Our superstar Catelyn was so nervous in front of journalists and photographers that she didn't say anything. But after the event, she was all cute and her usual self again. Oh well, what can I do with her?'
The collection features a series of marine-inspired prints on harem pants, tote bags and tuxedo-cut T-shirts. Guests were treated to chilled blue cocktails that reflected Ku's cool theme.
