Talent show winner Mag Lam Yan-tung celebrated her 22nd birthday by going to work. Lam and other contestants from TVB's The Voice, Sheldon Lo Hau-yung, Hubert Wu Hung-kwan and Jay Fung Wan-him, officiated at the grand opening of the Pacific Coffee Emporium cafe in Causeway Bay's Fashion Walk on Saturday, alongside the company's chief operating officer, Jonathan Somerville.

The starlet, however, had a sore throat and could barely speak. That may be why her birthday wish was for good health in the coming year.

Pacific Coffee was also celebrating its 20th anniversary, so a cake was prepared for both the brand and Lam.

Although she had been booked to sing at the event, her condition prevented that. Instead, Lam got creative and showed off her brewing skills, making a huge cup of cafe latte on the stage.

'Music is like a good cup of coffee. It can make people feel good and help them to relax,' she said. 'And to make a good cup of coffee, like creating good music, takes passion.'
