Cafe Serena at the Hotel Nikko in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring Japanese dishes on its dinner buffet. The selection includes snow crab legs and seafood hotpot, grilled scallops with Japanese soy sauce, steamed egg custard with foie gras, braised pomfret with leeks and soy sauce, bamboo charcoal red bean rolls, and green tea macarons. The dinner buffet is HK$428 plus 10 per cent (HK$308 for children) on Monday to Thursday, and HK$478 (HK$338 for children) on Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Bookings: 23134222

Dong Lai Shun at the Royal Garden hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is serving Cantonese home-style dishes using organic ingredients. The ? la carte selection includes stir-fried sliced marble goby fish with night jasmine (above), braised beef ribs with preserved vegetables, braised winter melon with wild mushrooms, bean curd salad with wild vegetables and pickled cabbage, and braised fish head with sweet and sour bamboo shoots. Cafe Rivoli at the Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay is featuring seafood on its dinner buffet. Dishes include seafood skewers; mini seafood cups, salmon wrapped in pastry, lobster and crab roe stuffed with mango, blue prawn with tropical fruit salsa, Alaskan king crab and baked oysters; and signature selections such as shawarma, chocolate fondue and baked Alaska. The buffet is HK$408 plus 10 per cent (HK$298 for children) Monday to Thursday, and HK$438 (HK$318 for children) Friday to Sunday and on the eve and day of public holidays. Bookings: 28371772

Cafe Gray Deluxe at the Upper House in Admiralty has a new summer menu of lighter dishes. For breakfast, the menu lists strawberry-Nutella Belgian waffles and banana and chocolate chip pancakes with maple butter; for tea the selection includes egg salad sandwich with chilli and avocado and smoked salmon on pumpernickel. The dinner menu includes lobster Cobb salad, lobster claws and shrimp, slow-cooked wild king salmon with salsa verde, and grilled US prime striploin steak with mignonette pepper (below).
