Rock out to Street Jam

The summer holidays will move into full swing today as a month of local and international music gets underway in Kowloon Bay.

Summer Street Jam in Telford Plaza will also feature Julius the Monkey merchandise and themed areas.

Lasting until August 26, Street Jam will showcase a range of artists.

Local band Supper Moment will kick things off today with a performance at 2.30pm. At the same time next Saturday, British DJ USK will scratch and mix funky tunes while b-boys Hong Boy, Rhythm Attack and Grasper Crew will strut their stuff on the stage.

On Saturday, August 11, at 2.30pm, Japanese dance sensation EN Dance Studio, led by Kuroiwa Yoshiki, choreographer for SMAP and BoA, will take the stage with their high-energy show.

Taiwanese a cappella group Sirens Vocal Band will also perform. On August 18 at 2.30pm, they will sing along with locals Music Shake and Set Tone Men.

For a more local flavour, last year's SoundBase Festival winners, Matchbox, will bring their contemporary, indie sound to the big stage on August 19.

Summer Street Jam will conclude with The 3 Think rocking out on August 26.
