South Korean label Wooyoungmi is causing quite a stir in menswear and looking at its spring-summer collection it's not hard to see why. We love the cool nonchalance of the black blazer (HK$6,550) and black trousers (HK$2,890) juxtaposed with the futuristic waistcoat (all right; HK$3,050). Something a bit more simple but no less interesting is this ensemble of orange shorts (HK$2,690) and taupe constructed top (both far right; HK$3,950). Unfortunately, the bag isn't available in Hong Kong. Wooyoungmi is available at Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, Central, tel: 3695 3389.
Californian lifestyle brand Nixon may have moved away from its surfing background in recent years but its sporty heritage can still be found in its spring-summer collection of bags. We love the multi-pocketed Shadow World Travel backpack (far left; HK$1,390), which comes in a wide variety of colours. The handsome Waterlock backpack (left; HK$870) has been specially designed to withstand as much water as you can throw at it. Nixon is available at Island Wake, 1/F, 3 Cannon Street, Causeway Bay, tel: 2623 6123.
Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci's recent collections have been inspired by his Catholic roots, among other things. We've picked out two items that are less leaden with symbolism but no less stylish, such as the striped shirt (below right; HK$2,890) and the bomber jacket (right; HK$21,300). Givenchy is in Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2735 2361.
A nice pair of shoes is all well and good, but to really make your presence felt a pair of boots is in order. Dior Homme is stomping all over the competition with the heavy duty grey canvas and brown calfskin laced leather boot (above left; HK$7,500). Although the more sedate suede and calfskin laced leather boot (left; HK$7,300) is just as imposing. Dior Homme is in The Landmark, tel: 2524 8277.
