Double delight as Sandro, Abercrombie head to HK
It will be double the fun for Hong Kong and mainland fashionistas this year, as they can add two well-known fashion brands to their list of shopping destinations in the city.
All-American casual wear label Abercrombie & Fitch is set to open its local flagship store on August 11 in Central's historic Pedder Building - with some sexy sweeteners for customers.
Those who attend the grand opening can take a photo or share a moment with A&F hunks, as the brand is flying in model-looking salesmen from the United States, Europe and Singapore.
The first 50 people in line will also be given a limited-edition photo book titled A&F Quarterly, which is shot by photographer Bruce Weber and features Abercrombie's best-looking models - though fans will have to be at least 18 years old to claim the freebie.
As for shoppers who want to up the ante with Parisian sophistication, French label Sandro will open its first shop in Hong Kong at the IFC Mall in October.
The brand, launched in 1984 by married couple Didier and Evelyne Chetrite, is famous for its feminine, modern style.
When it opens, one can expect an autumn-winter collection inspired by the 1990s Manhattan working girl, so watch out for some serious 'sports chic' looks and minimalistic silhouettes.
