More HK Airlines delays amid strike fears
Five Hong Kong Airlines flights were delayed for more than an hour yesterday, including a flight to Nanjing delayed for six hours, and one to Changsha was cancelled amid rumours that the airline's staff were planning to strike.

Government's deficit for second quarter HK$9.7b
The government announced a HK$9.7 billion deficit for the second quarter of the year, during which revenue was HK$78.8 billion and spending was HK$88.5 billion. It said the deficit was a result of salaries and profits tax not being collected until the end of the financial year.
Maid jailed four months for stealing two rings
Filipino maid Flordeliza de la Rosa Arce, 42, was sentenced in Eastern Court to four months' jail for stealing two rings worth US$12,000 from her Mid-Levels employer.
