Bling the house now - crystal-studded wallpaper wows the celebrity crowd
Some people just can't get enough bling. Now it's possible to deck your home out in floor-to-ceiling crystals thanks to wallpaper maker Goodrich and Swarovski Elements.
Celebrity guests including actresses Michelle Reis, Maria Chan Chai-ping and Anna Yau Hoi-man, and fashion designer Bonita Cheung Kit-man, attended the launch of the collection on Tuesday at The Pawn restaurant and bar in Wan Chai. The sparkly wall coverings premiered last year in an equally historical building in London's Portland Place.
Guests eyed the nine different conceptual wallpapers while being served champagne. Reis' favourite was the purple Kohinoor Damask style, featuring sumptuous floral prints embellished with crystals.
'Purple is my favourite colour because it's very elegant and aristocratic,' she said. 'I can see it blending in perfectly with antique furniture, which would be great for my living room or study. It would create an even more special and eccentric aura for the living space.'
The beauty has been travelling widely on product-endorsement jobs recently and will hit the road again this week. The working mother said she missed her one-year-old son, Jayden Max Hui, but wouldn't risk travelling with him.
