I REFER to the letter about 'Roach-infested minibuses' (South China Morning Post, December 7). At present, the vehicles on the green minibus route one, between Central and the Peak, are cleaned every day after operation and pesticide is applied about once every two weeks.

In response to your correspondent's complaint, the operator has agreed to schedule more frequent pest control duties. We will closely monitor the performance of the operator and take further action as necessary. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
