Hong Kong casual wear brand Crocodile is celebrating its 60th anniversary with an exhibition featuring a 3-D painting by mainland artist Qi Xinghua.

The painting, of a crocodile pond, is 2.5 metres high and occupies about 70 square metres of the atrium of Taikoo Shing's Cityplaza mall. Other exhibits include a crocodile sculpture made with shirt fabrics from the brand's 60-year archive.

Actor Louis Koo Tin-lok officiated at the opening of the exhibition on Friday with Crocodile Garments CEO Lam Kin-ming. Koo sketched a picture of a crocodile to mark the brand's birthday.

The actor was impressed with the 3-D painting and said the reptile looked realistically fierce.

The busy star said he would be spending the coming four months in Bangkok, filming a disaster thriller titled Inferno 3D, co-starring Sean Lau Ching-wan and Angelica Lee Sin-je. Brothers Danny Pang Phat and Oxide Pang Chun are directing the film.
