King's College claimed the Hong Kong Outstanding IT School Award this year. They beat eight other finalists with an innovative app that aims to help the blind 'read' images and videos.
The six-member team envisioned 'Eye Touch', which would allow the visually impaired to feel pictures with their hands. It is a type of Braille, which the blind use to read books and papers.
Judge Jason Fong Chi-shun called the winning team's idea 'inspiring'.
Good Hope School ranked second with 'Toilet-Easy-Go', which tells people how many toilet stalls are free in a mall. Pope Paul VI College came third with 'Supercloud', an app that makes shopping easier.
