This week we test: gel moisturisers

If you have oily skin you may have trouble finding moisturisers that don't clog your pores. You've probably been through an assortment of creamy products, but have you tried a gel product?

Biotherm Aquasource Rich Cream (HK$360/ 50ml) 7/10

This gel is soft, lightweight and almost runny. Non-sticky, it feels cool on application and quickly sinks in. The aqua scent really makes the day better.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended (HK$350/ 50ml) 8/10

This is lovely and light and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. It is specially formulated for changes in humidity, so if you go outside from home and back again, your skin doesn't feel tight. Would be great as a moisture boost on a flight.

Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel (HK$420/ 50ml) 9/10

A bit more than I'd usually spend, but this is lovely: light but uber-moisturising, cooling, quickly absorbed, leaves skin silky, keeps oil at bay, smells divine. Score.

Shu Uemura Depsea Hydrability Moisturizing Gel Cream (HK$395/ 50ml) 7/10

This super-rich cream offers intense hydration. In this weather, it leaves skin feeling a little sticky, but it will be perfect when the weather starts to change for the cooler.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Gel Cream (HK$440/ 50ml) 8/10

This water-based product smells of some sort of tropical grass, and keeps usually dry skin moist, for almost a full day. Great jar, but not cheap.
