ANDREW Clements rose to the occasion yesterday, bowling the Saracens to a 34-run win over Connaught Saturday League leaders Witherers at the Kowloon Cricket Club.

Bowling for the first time this season, Clements repaid the faith of his captain John Dykes with a telling burst of medium pace bowling to wipe out the Witherers middle order and finish with four wickets.

Clements' heroics made the Saturday League a five-horse race. In contention are new leaders Little Sai Wan (164 points), Witherers (163), Gap Ramblers and Saracens (151 each) and Merchants (149).
