Mike Matthews as Madonna

THE Ritz Carlton's regional vice-president, Mike Matthews, caused a stir at the hotel's staff party last week. He undertook the daunting challenge of disguising himself as Madonna, complete with tights, conical bra, wig and make-up so thick, scraps were still in place a whole 24 hours after the thrash. It was clearly a successful charade because nobody recognised him until his rich, gravelly voice gave him away.
