Cease-fire urged in words war
EXPATRIATE civil servants angry over the controversial localisation policy won the first round in their legal battle against the Government yesterday in the High Court.
The Association of Expatriate Civil Servants says demoting expatriate officers to enable 'local' officers to be promoted breaches the Bill of Rights.
Mr Justice Keith granted them leave to apply for a judicial review, saying the case was of 'seminal constitutional and political importance'. No date was set for the review.
