HONG KONG Football Club A passed their first and stiffest test on their way to retaining the Holland Cup when they defeated arch-rivals Shaheen 2-1 in first-round men's hockey action at King's Park yesterday.

Club's Tim Andrews scored both his side's goals, finding the target in the 20th and 37th minutes, to ensure they moved into the second round.

Club survived a strong fightback by the current league champions when they pulled one back in the 55th minute from a penalty stroke converted by Yousef Mohamed.

It was Club's first victory over Shaheen this season.

The Happy Valley side were held to a 2-2 draw earlier this month, although Club had a number of regular players missing.
