After building a fleet that has served the Middle East, from the Red Sea to India, Atlantic Maritime Group (AMG) intends to expand its service territories to include the Far East.

With his extensive marine and offshore experience, CEO and chairman Bill Wong built the company into a significant regional industry player on its strong chartering, repair and reliable marine logistics services. "The Gulf area will remain a primary market for us," Wong says. "Our financial position is healthy and we have grown steadily over the years because of our prudent expansion policy."

AMG owns and operates 14 offshore support vessels. Most of its clients are major regional oil companies and offshore contractors such as Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, ADMA, ZADCO, National Petroleum Construction and J.R. McDermott. These clients adhere to strict international environmental, health and safety standards which are prerequisites in the selection of subcontractors. AMG's prequalified status enables it to enhance its fleet by cross chartering and managing vessels belonging to third-party owners without in-house facilities to meet stringent client requirements.

AMG's repair and maintenance division keeps its fleet well-maintained and assures clients that in-house facilities are readily available to cater to unforeseen breakdowns. Its 150-strong workforce also undertakes commercial repairs and maintenance work for other regional ship owners.

"We maintain a reputation for reliability through understanding our clients' needs and a competent team of operations personnel," says business development manager S.P. Wong. The company plans to expand into other offshore contracting services. AMG maintains strong ties with Asian ship owners and intends to extend its operations to the Far East with Singapore as a regional base.

AMG welcomes business allies who can help its expansion into other geographical markets, including Asia and Africa.

"We have come a long way from a modest beginning and would like to continue our growth into a major player in size and scope of services in the regions where we operate," Bill Wong says.
