EYE CATCHERS

NAME droppers take note. Cocktail parties go a whole lot better on an announcement that you spent the afternoon trying on glasses at I. Junction.

The up-market specs store can be found on Wellington Street and is noteworthy for the fact that its customers back home in Los Angeles include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bryan Ferry, Mickey Rourke, Bridget Nielsen, Grace Jones, Theresa Russell and Vanessa Williams. This we know because they posed for photographer Greg Gorman's advertisements for the place.

Oh, and Robin Williams wore the glasses on a Premiere magazine cover, while Susan Sarandon looked cool in them on the poster promoting Thelma & Louise, and John Cusack, Anjelica Huston and Annette Bening did likewise for The Grifters.

Worried about the price? Fear not. Although I. Junction's local stock is made with the smaller facial features of Hong Kong people in mind, they still average out at $2,000 to $3,000 a pair without prescription.
