Complaints
YOUR anonymous Kowloon correspondent asked why his car had been ticketed while parked in Braga Circuit cul-de-sac ('Plea for lenient parking rules', South China Morning Post, February 7).
While this resident may think he is not causing an obstruction, his neighbours obviously think otherwise; police have received complaints and obviously had to act on them.
However, I repeat my previous assurance that where there is no apparent obstruction to other vehicles or pedestrians, police officers and traffic wardens can use their discretion not to issue a Fixed Penalty Ticket even when vehicles are parked illegally.
