A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl was arrested after she allegedly attacked a 15-year-old fellow student in a row over a boy.

The 15-year-old - armed with an iron ruler - had gone to the younger girl's classroom at the Rosaryhill School in Stubbs Road, Mid-Levels, to accuse her of 'stealing' her boyfriend.

She allegedly hit the girl with the ruler. The younger girl then picked up a paper cutter and allegedly slashed her attacker's cheek, leaving a five-centimetre wound. A teacher called the police.

The 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital where she was treated and discharged.
