Unfair treatment

I AM writing to express my frustration about an incident that took place on Friday, March 3.

I had parked my car in Woh Chai Street, opposite Block 28 of Shek Kip Mei Estate at 8.36am to take my six-year-old foster child, who is mentally handicapped, into the Spastic Centre School.

Upon returning eight minutes later, I found myself with a ticket fine for $320.

I must add that there are vehicles parked in the said street throughout the day without tickets being handed to them.

Many are vehicles parked in wait for the numerous car repair shops along the street; trucks and taxis change shift and are washed there.

With reference to previous correspondence by the Commissioner of Police, in which he explained that police are allowed to use their own judgment and discretion when considering writing a ticket, I most certainly parked my car at a location which would not obstruct traffic, and hastily took my little handicapped boy who has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk into school.

May I inquire why those other vehicles are permitted to park along Woh Chai Street while I receive unfair treatment from the police? Would the Commissioner of Police care to respond? NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
