Territory's Miss India pageant crowns future hopes for charity

IT was a night of eastern glamour and glitter that ended with beauteous Nirupama Anand crowned Miss India, Hong Kong.

Organised by the India Club and held at the Regent ballroom, the fabulous pageant helped raise much-needed funds for Future Hope, the children's charity in India.

Apart from the proceeds from the ticket sales and sponsorship, on the night itself, the auction of a Baume & Mercier watch together with on-the-spot donations amounted to nearly $250,000.
