AS someone who has had the privilege of living in Hong Kong for more than 40 years, it has been my pleasure during that time to follow the progress of the excellent radio services provided by Radio Television Hong Kong.

RTHK's morning show with Kit Cumings and Hugh Chiverton, is bold, impartial and informative. Vaughan Savage is remarkably witty. He has a wonderful sense of humour.

A number of presenters have been with RTHK for several years, among them, the incomparable evergreens, Ralph Pixton, Gerry Jose and Charles Weatherill. It is because of people like them that the station has reached its present status. Then there is another long-serving presenter, Ray Cordeiro who has a real talent for selecting beautiful melodies, night after night.

Perhaps the most positive thing to come out of this Administration as its tenure here draws to a close, is the unequivocal statement that the territory shall continue to be served by RTHK for another 21 years. It will be my pleasure to remain an avid listener.
