TWO Hong Kong men have been detained in Toronto in connection with a smuggling ring shipping stolen luxury cars out of Canada into the United States before being transshipped to China. The two were detained after a Merecedes was stopped for speeding.

The car was stolen. Four other stolen luxury cars were found in containers in a customs' compound near Toronto. The containers had been booked for shipment by rail into Los Angeles in the United States for transshipment to China.
