In a story posted on Tuesday, March 12, "PLA general's son in rape case may have lied about his age," the young man referred to in the story and pictured in an accompanying photograph is, in fact, not the PLA general's son who has been detained in connection with a rape case. The Chinese names for the two young men are identical, but they are different individuals, according to legal documents. The South China Morning Post regrets the error and apologises to our readers and especially the young men incorrectly identified in our story.
