AT risk of being accused of writing yet another tetchy letter, but in the higher interests of historical accuracy, I must take issue with Jonathan Braude's description of avian activities following the latest round of expert talks on the Court of Final Appeal (From the Corridors, South China Morning Post, June 2).

It is true that I had a close encounter with a bird - or possibly two birds - when about to speak to the long-suffering members of the media.

But I categorically deny that it - or they - delivered an opinion on my forehead - or anywhere else! Fortunately, they left no trace of their passing.

But I admit that Jonathan's version made a better story.
